Knowledge-Sharing

We are currently raising funds to get Kindred Care Collective off the ground. Learn more about that here.

Co-founded by three mamas & birthers in East Oakland, we are building offerings and healing space that will center mothers, birthers, and primary caregivers, or as we often call ourselves “caretenders,” tending to the people in our lives the way a gardener tends to their seeds, flowers, bees, soil. and fruits.

Below is our bold vision for programs (and truly, just the beginning).

Support

We deserve support.

  • Ongoing education and network for parents with older children, who are seeking a community that seeks to center radical love and decolonized, reparative, healing, anti-racist, and queer frameworks in their parenting.

    • We’re a share-care economy. Donate what you can; take what you need.

    • Food, formula, diapers, postpartum supplies, books, pregnancy & nursing clothing, baby-safe soap and detergent, baby clothes, toys.

    • We bring postpartum care packages and meals to our members.

  • We are raising money for a fund to support low-income queer families and solo parents as they plan and build the family they long for. Depending on need, this fund’s use may be expanded.
