The Workshop
Always, but especially in the world we’re living in right now, it is exhausting and overwhelming to be a parent.
Just meeting your child’s basic needs is a lot. Add in your own childhood wounding, your personal healing journey, the current political chaos, and multiple ongoing global catastrophes? It. Is. Too. Much. To. Hold.
Join Katherine Mancera and Natalíe Ortega – two fierce mamas and therapists – for a workshop supporting overwhelmed parents and caregivers in intergenerational healing.
The workshop combines reflection, embodied practices, and community support so you can:
Release the generational patterns that are holding you back
Harness the strengths of your ancestors
Create a new, juicy, values-aligned vision for the parent you want to be
We’ll gather in the redwood forest in the Oakland hills from 10am to 3pm on May 31. Childcare will be available nearby for children aged 1 to 8.
Together, let’s create a space of cultivation and transformation, holding space for the hard parts of parenting in this moment while inviting in more joy, connection, and laughter.

FAQs
How much does this workshop cost?
We are offering a sliding scale, which comes from a desire to create multiple access points for the wild and big hearts called to learn with us. Here's some guidance on how to choose your rate:
$250 is the top of the sliding scale and the actual cost of the workshop.
$150 is the middle of the scale and is for those who are able to meet basic needs but have limited expendable income.
$50 is the bottom of the scale and is for those for whom paying the full fee would be a significant hardship.
I’m in! What’s next?
To secure your spot, register here and send your payment via Venmo or Paypal to Natalíe at natalielorraineortega@gmail.com.
We’ll send you a reminder before the event including the exact location, Covid procedures, etc. If you choose to register for childcare, we will be in touch with more details including who will take care of your kid/s and dropoff location.
What do I need to bring?
Here are our suggestions:
A warm jacket and blanket. The forest can be surprisingly cold even when it’s warm in the flats of Oakland.
A blanket or camping chair to sit on. (There will be picnic tables but we might want to sit closer together in a circle.)
Your lunch, water, and snacks.
A notebook and pen.
